How a commission works
Consultation
A private call to understand the space, the occasion and what you want the work to hold. No cost and no commitment.
Concept
Jignasa prepares sketches and a visualisation of the work in your space, with proposed medium, scale, timeline and price.
Agreement
Once you approve the concept, a simple agreement and deposit reserve a place in the studio schedule.
Making
The work is made in the studio. You receive progress photographs at key stages.
Delivery
Finished, documented and signed, with a certificate of authenticity. Installation can be arranged.
Questions
How long does a commission take?
Most works take between two and six months from approved concept to delivery, depending on medium and scale.
Which mediums can I commission?
Sculpted texture and drape on canvas, acrylic and watercolour, from a single small piece to a large statement canvas or a set. The consultation is where we decide what suits your idea and space.
Can I see how it will look in my room?
Yes. Send a photograph of the wall and Jignasa will show you a visualisation of the proposed work in your space before anything is made.
Do you work with clients outside India?
Yes. Consultations happen over video, and finished works are crated and shipped with insurance.
Do you work with architects and interior designers?
Yes. Colours, scale and textures can be matched to plans, material boards and site photographs.
